NBA Superstar’s Home Raided In Drug Trafficking Investigation

A home owned by former National Basketball Association superstar Chris Bosh was the target of a police drug trafficking raid and Bosh’s mother is named as one of the suspects, according to TMZ and USA Today.

The DeSota Police Department raided Bosh’s home Friday morning after getting a search warrant in a drug trafficking investigation.

TMZ reported that one of suspects listed is Freida Bosh, mother of Chris Bosh who allegedly lives at the home that police believe is owned by Chris Bosh.

Chris Bosh earned an estimated $190 million just in his NBA salary during his 14-year career. He was part of the Miami Heat’s championship teams led by LeBron James.

He hasn’t played since the 2015-16 season due to a blood clot in his lungs. Even though he hasn’t played, Bosh still had two years on his contract left worth a guaranteed $52 million.

Police told TMZ that a large amount of drug paraphernalia was recovered from the home during the raid that is consistent with narcotics trafficking. Authorities believe crack cocaine and heroin were being trafficked through the home. No arrests were made.

Police said they don’t believe Chris Bosh has any connection to the drug trafficking other than he owns the house.

TMZ reported that police said the Bosh house has all the signs of a drug trafficking den.

Police conducted a sting operation to obtain evidence. They went an undercover officer to the home on Tuesday to grab trash bags that had been left outside the home. Police sifted through the trash and found a lot of evidence including baggies with cocaine residue and marijuana paraphernalia and mail with Freida Bosh’s name on it.

Police said one of the suspects has a rap sheet that includes shooting a man in the face during a drug deal.
