GQ magazine put National Football League quarterback-turned-social-justice-whiner Colin Kaepernick on its cover and declared him one of its “Men of the Year.”
In its latest edition, GQ compares Kaepernick, whose protests during the National Anthem at NFL games revealed that he wants minorities to not be held accountable to the law, to the likes of legendary athletes like boxer Muhammad Ali and baseball Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson:
“He’s been vilified by millions and locked out of the NFL—all because he took a knee to protest police brutality. But Colin Kaepernick’s determined stand puts him in rare company in sports history: Muhammad Ali, Jackie Robinson—athletes who risked everything to make a difference.”
GQ (formerly, Gentleman’s Quarterly), which is a fashion magazine AT BEST, thinks they actually know how to rate the league’s current 90 quarterbacks, in order to declare unemployed Kaepernick, who willing quit his team to become a free agent, to be “indisputably, undeniably” better than 70 of them:
“Approximately 90 men are currently employed as quarterbacks in the NFL, as either starters or reserves, and Colin Kaepernick is better—indisputably, undeniably, flat-out better—than at least 70 of them.”
GQ ends by republishing comments praising Kaepernick made by rappers, activists, a hip-hop artist/ U.C. Berkeley academic and other liberal celebrities.
Well, GQ, I’ve not read you in years, and you’ve done nothing to convince me I should do otherwise.
