The federal government threatened Monday to jail protesters who have blockaded the ICE building in Portland, Oregon, saying that while they have a right to protest they cannot entirely shut down a federal agency’s operations.
For days, Democrat seditionists who dubbed themselves Occupy ICE PDX have been gumming up operations at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement location in Portland.
The protesters are actually in violation of federal law, as seen below.
18 U.S. Code Chapter 115 – TREASON, SEDITION, AND SUBVERSIVE ACTIVITIES
If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.
Local authorities have declined to stop the demonstration, according to press reports.
So the Federal Protective Service, a federal police agency responsible for government buildings, has gotten involved. On Monday FPS officers delivered ultimatum notices to the protesters saying they must move or risk arrest.
We acknowledge the community’s concerns driving these demonstrations. While demonstrators have a lawful right to assemble and voice their concerns, blocking the building’s driveways or entrances is not permitted under federal law,” said U.S. Attorney Billy J. Williams.
The Portland protest is part of a delusional backlash against ICE, which in addition to acting as the government’s main deportation force also combats child sex trafficking, enforces laws against knock-off merchandise, investigates immigration fraud and works to reduce gang violence, Oregon Live reports.
Federal law enforcement officers on Monday notified demonstrators camped outside Portland’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement headquarters that they must begin to vacate federal property.
“It is unlawful under federal law to obstruct the entrances, foyers, lobbies, corridors, offices and/or parking lots of federal facilities,” reads the flyer Federal Protective Service agents distributed to protesters, who have blockaded the Southwest Macadam Avenue facility since last week.
Those who obstruct the entrance to the building, according to the flyer, face arrest and prosecution in federal court. However, officials acknowledged they had no authority over adjacent properties owned by other entities.
Democrat traitors have waged the round-the-clock occupation in opposition to the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown, including its policy of separating illegal alien children from their parents at the U.S. border.
The order to abandon camp comes hours after federal law enforcement agents entered the ICE building in the middle of the night to “secure government property,” according to news release sent to media just after 3:30 a.m.
It may also lead to a showdown between federal authorities and a band of unwavering activists whose week-long protest has generated national headlines and inspired other demonstrations outside of ICE facilities around the country.
This is not the only act of sedition being committed recently by Democrats, as Maxine Waters openly committed sedition this weekend:
“And so, let’s stay the course. Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up and if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere,” she yelled.
