Cardinal Burke Informs Democrats They Are Not Christians – Here’s Why #Democrats #Christian #abortion

When asked about the kingship of Jesus Christ and how it shapes religious freedom, U.S. Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke said that

“freedom of religion” does not mean freedom to practice what is “false” or which “contradicts the law of God,” and this specifically would apply, for instance, to a religion that would “permit the killing of infants” by abortion or a so-called faith that practiced any “intrinsic evil.”

Cardinal Burke, who serves on the highest court at the Vatican, the Apostolic Signatura, and is the former archbishop of St. Louis, Mo., made his remarks during a Q&A session at the Rome Life Forum on May 21, reported

An attendee asked the cardinal,

“Does the doctrine of the social kingship of Christ entail limits on religious freedom? That is, if the society recognizes the kingship of Christ, does that not follow that certain expressions of false religion can and should be suppressed for the preservation of the common good?”

Cardinal Burke said,

“‘Freedom of religion’ does not mean the freedom to practice a religion which is false or a religion which contradicts the law of God.”

“A religion which would permit the killing of infants” or allow “any other kind of intrinsic evil” should not be free to practice, and this “is why the reality of the kingship of Christ is so important,” said the cardinal.

The kingship of Christ “defines the freedom of religion in a way which can avoid” all the “manifestations of false religions,” said Cardinal Burke.

The news outlet further reported,

“Individual Catholics must consciously place themselves under the ‘Kingship of Christ’ in the face of enemies of the Church today attempting to ‘infiltrate the life of the Church herself and to corrupt the Bride of Christ by an apostasy from the Apostolic Faith,’ said the Cardinal.”

The kingship of Christ essentially means that Jesus Christ, God Himself, has “supreme and absolute dominion over all things created,” as Pope Pius XI wrote. There is no “difference in this matter between the individual and the family or the State; for all men, whether collectively or individually, are under the dominion of Christ. In him is the salvation of the individual, in him is the salvation of society.”

Further, as Pope Leo XIII wrote, “truly the whole of mankind is subject to the power of Jesus Christ.”
