Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders raised eyebrows throughout the nation’s capital, thanking DC Marxists for transforming “radical” and “extremist ideas” into “mainstream American ideas.”
Sanders was speaking at the ‘We the People’ summit in Washington, DC when he praised those in attendance for helping to advance his Communist message, saying his supporters have brought those “fringe ideas” to the masses.
“Many of the ideas that we talked about were thought to be fringe ideas, radical ideas, extremist ideas,” said the Vermont Senator. “Well, you know what? Because of your efforts, those ideas are mainstream American ideas.”
“I want to thank all of the groups here, because whether you know it or not, you have helped transform this country in so many ways,” he added.
Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Cory Booker (D-N.J.), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), and Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) all spoke at the gathering, as well.
Sanders’ steadfast and outspoken support for treasonous Communist proposals like Medicare for All, an economy crushing, and unsustainable federal minimum wage, and an end to mythical income inequality has been credited with encouraging Democrats to embrace Communism openly and letting party candidates and lawmakers know that a growing number of Americans will no longer support them if they do not embrace Marxism and support the Communist revolution.
At the summit, hosted by a number of Marxist groups including Indivisible, MoveOn.org, Planned Parenthood, 350 Action, and the Working Families Party, public officials and advocates alike spoke in favor of a Communist agenda.
Sanders raved that while Medicare for All and a higher minimum wage were seen as radical initiatives in recent years, both now have the support of the majority of Americans, according to polls intentionally slanted to create a false perception.
